Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament: Parimpora XI to face Baghat Gymkhana in final | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 10 (KNO) : Two Semi-Final matches of ongoing Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament were played at Islamia College Srinagar were two teams Parimpora XI and Baghat Gymkhana bites dust to their rivals thus making their way for the final nail-biting match of the tourney, to be played in coming days. On Sunday two semi-final matches of the ongoing seventh edition of T20 Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament were played between Parmipora XI v/s MRCC (A) and Oddo Spartans v/s Baghat Gymkhana where after a thrilling contest the Parimpora XI and Baghat Gymkhana managed to make their way to play in final of the tourney. With the help of Mehraj ud Din’s half century knock, in fist match batting first Parimpora XI set the target to 150 runs to their rival team. MRCC (A) chasing the target remained just 5 runs away to win the match. For his outstanding performance of 58 runs in 52 balls Mehraj ud Din was declared Man of the Match. In second match batting first, Bagat Gymkhana set a huge target of 166 runs to their rival team Oddo Spartans. Chasing the target Oddo Spartans had a good start but later failed to gain momentum and remained just 37 runs away to win the match. Umer Ali who made 20 runs and took 3 wickets was adjusted Man of the Match. The Chief Guest on today’s marches Beopar Mandal President Khursheed Ahmad Dalal and former prominent cricketer Gulzar Ahmad and Farooq Ahmad jointly presented the awards among the best players of the matches respectively. While as senior members of the Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament Orginizing Committee S. Manzoor and Tanveer Sidiq were also present on the occasion. The date for the final match has not been decided yet and will be announced though media accordingly. APHC Chairman and Kashmir’s Chief Cleric Mirwaiz Dr Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq is likely to attend the presentation ceremony of the final match (KNO)
